BHWC Rules & Regulations For Membership

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At BHWC, diversity, equity and inclusion have always been an integral part of our history, culture, and identity. We continue to build an inclusive culture that celebrates the diverse voices of our members and the communities we serve. Creating an environment where everyone, from any background, can be a part of the community and philanthropic spirit of BHWC.

Non-Discrimination Policy

At the Beverly Hills Women’s Club, we value all employees and members as unique individuals, and we welcome the variety of experiences they bring to our organization. As such, we have a strict non-discrimination policy. We believe everyone should be treated equally regardless of race, sex, gender identification, sexual orientation, national origin, native language, religion, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, genetic information, pregnancy, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Conduct & Restrictions

At all times, members must conduct themselves with courtesy, respect, and civility toward fellow members, members’ families, visitors, guests, and BHWC staff. Display of common courtesy in speech and inaction is expected of all. Use of members’ personal information for business use is strictly prohibited.

Media Release

Each member hereby grants the BHWC permission to use photographs, audio, video, print, and any other media of themselves for editorial, publicity, or educational purposes.  They understand that all materials will remain the property of the BHWC and that they are not entitled to any compensation or payment for their use.

Release of Liability

The BHWC is not responsible for any accident or injury to any member, member’s family, guests, or visitor while using the BHWC or any of its facilities or participating in a BHWC sponsored event on or off the property. Each member, on behalf of that member, member’s family, guest, or visitor, assumes full and complete responsibility for any accident or bodily injury, death or property damage or loss, which may occur or as a result of using the BHWC or while participating in a BHWC sponsored event, and releases the BHWC from any liability therefore. Each member further acknowledges that they are responsible for the acts and omissions of any family member and guest while they are engaged in BHWC activities or on the BHWC premises. As such, each member assumes full responsibility for any accident or injury to any of them arising from or relating to each member’s use of the BHWC facility or participation in BHWC sponsored events. Further, each member agrees to reimburse the BHWC for any damage due to the BHWC premises by any family member and guest of theirs, and to defend and indemnify the BHWC should any such family member or guest make a claim against or use the BHWC for any injury, loss or damage.

Agreement to Arbitrate

Any claim, grievance, demand, cause of action, or dispute of any kind whatsoever of or by any member, any of the members family, or any of their guests arising out of, in connection with, or in relation to BHWC membership, property, policy or event and activities, shall be settled by arbitration administered on an individual, not a class-wide basis, by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Such arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles, California, and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. However, this process shall not limit the BHWC’s right to obtain any provisional remedy including, without limitation, injunctive or similar relief from any court of competent jurisdiction as may be necessary to protect the right and interest of the BHWC or its members.

The Beverly Hills Women’s Club (BHWC) reserves the right to amend these Rules and Regulations at any time.
