Join Open Club & Lunch with Members Featuring Inspiring Talk by Writer, Minister, Adventurer & Club Neighbor, Anne Gardner, Recounting her 500-Mile Walk Across Spain’s Camino de Santiago

March 10, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

- Complimentary

Anne Gardner is a club neighbor, freelance writer and minister. She has recently published a new book titled “And So I Walked” (Adelaide Books, NY/Lisbon). The book recounts Anne’s 500-mile walk across Spain on the famed Camino de Santiago, along with the emotional undercurrents that journey revealed.

After spending twenty-five years working at two of Boston’s premier educational institutions, Harvard University and Phillips Academy, Andover, the author currently leads the chaplaincy program at Harvard-Westlake School (another club neighbor).

An Episcopal minister by day, Reverend Gardner also finds time to work as a freelance writer. Her essays and columns have been featured in The National Catholic Reporter, The Boston Globe, The Providence Journal, New England Tennis Magazine, and most recently as part of WBUR’s Cognoscenti series, Boston’s NPR affiliate.

Anne will present her slide deck of stunning scenery and describe the Camino and its history. She will share the challenges of long-distance walking and share why she (and so many others) choose to walk this 500 mile trek.

Luncheon from the region and author signed book included. A great gift!
