The Every Woman Housed Gala is the Downtown Women’s Center’s signature annual fundraising event, bringing together leaders, advocates, artists and community members committed to ending homelessness in Los Angeles. For nearly 50 years, the Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) has lead women and survivor-centered housing solutions in Los Angeles, shaping how the region understands and responds to homelessness through:

Supportive Housing that provides long-term stability; 98% of residents in DWC-operated housing remain stably housed.

Trauma-informed services that create safe environments and support – 5,000 people annually in healing and rebuilding.

Advocacy and policy leadership that advance the unique needs of women and survivors of violence.

Gala Honorees Miley Cyrus & Tish Cyrus-Purcell are honored for their leadership through the Miley Cyrus Foundation and their shared commitment to intergenerational advocacy. In December 2024, Miley and Tish launched their partnership with DWC through the Miley Cyrus Foundation. Their first initiative transformed the DWC Day Center – where more than 200 women and survivors of violence find safety and support each day – and redesigned the Resident Lobby to create a warm, welcoming space for the women and survivors who call DWC home.
