DESCRIPTION:Join us for a social luncheon and get all your hormone\, longevity\, wellness and cardiovascular questions answered by Dr. Rebecca Lane & Dr. Tamara Horwich \nDr. Rebecca Lane\, MD is a pelvic and reconstructive surgeon. She is one of the few physicians to be board certified in both OB/GYN and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Lane’s major areas of research include pelvic organ prolapse\, urinary incontinence and medical education. She has published extensively in peer reviewed journals\, and authored book chapters on various subjects related to women’s pelvic health. She is an active member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists\, and the American Urogynecologic Society. \nAfter graduating from Columbia College\, Columbia University\, in New York with a BA in history\, Dr. Lane earned her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC). She went on to perform an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery\, all at USC. She has two practice locations\, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Dr. Lane is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology and Resident Education Specialist at the USC Keck School of Medicine. She lives in Beverly Hills with her husband and two sons. \n \n  \nDr. Tamara Horwich\, MD\, MS is an attending cardiologist and Health Sciences Clinical Professor of Medicine/Cardiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She is Medical Director of UCLA’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program\, including the Dr. Dean Ornish Comprehensive Lifestyle Program for Reversing Heart Disease\, Co-Director of the UCLA Women’s Cardiovascular Health Center\, and an active member of the Ahmanson-UCLA Cardiomyopathy Center. \nDr. Horwich’s clinical interests include treating and preventing heart disease in women\, cardiac rehabilitation\, treating patients with heart failure\, and performing and interpreting echocardiograms. Dr. Horwich’s main research interests include studying obesity\, body composition and cardiovascular disease\, as well as risk factors and novel therapies for patients with heart disease\, with a focus on women. She has been a grant recipient from the National Institutes of Health\, the Heart Failure Society of America\, as well as the Iris Cantor Women’s Center at UCLA. Dr. Horwich is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association and has helped draft national guidelines on management of heart failure. Dr. Horwich received a BA in History from Brown University and an MD from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She then returned to her native Los Angeles to complete internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship training at UCLA\, during which time she also attained a Master’s of Science in Clinical Research from UCLA. \n. \n

This is the sparkling second movement of his full-length ballet Jewels\, bursting with energy. LAB stays true to the traditions of the classic holiday story while giving it a unique Southern California twist. From the elegant Spanish-style Hancock Park home to the snowy slopes of Big Bear to the Venice Beach archways\, and the moonlit Pacific Ocean\, this production is a sunny slice of the Southland. \n​ \n​As a special holiday treat\, LAB will extend its stay at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood\, with additional performances after Christmas Day. All performances at Dolby feature Tchaikovsky’s iconic score performed live by the Los Angeles Ballet Orchestra. \n\n\nChoreography\n\n\nLAB founders and former co-artistic directors Thordal Christensen and Colleen Neary’s original choreography is an inspired take on this classic holiday favorite that reflects the city where this production and LAB was born. \n\n\nScore\n\n\nPyotr Illych Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker is one of the most recognizable ballet scores for audiences worldwide. The Nutcracker Suite gained instant popularity as an orchestral piece in 1892 and has become synonymous with the winter holiday season. \n\nProgram length – 120 minutes with 1 intermission
