DESCRIPTION:Join fellow BHWC members for a private guided tour of the Weisman Art Foundation in Holmby Hills\, followed by a delightful lunch at Lumiere at the Fairmont Hotel in Century City. \nThe Weisman Art Foundation is dedicated to continuing the legacy and vision of Frederick R. Weisman\, an extraordinary entrepreneur\, philanthropist\, and art collector. The Foundation seeks to preserve\, collect\, and make publicly accessible its collection of modern and contemporary art as a means to strengthen and contribute to the greater artistic and intellectual life of our time. \nAfter the tour\, we will gather at Lumiere at the Fairmont Hotel in Century City\, a new brasserie offering a taste of traditional French-inspired cuisine that evokes the feeling of being transported to 1920s Paris. \nWe will meet at the Weisman Art Foundation at 265 N. Carolwood Drive at 10:15 a.m. The tour will commence promptly at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:15 p.m. Following the tour\, we will reconvene for lunch at Lumiere at the Fairmont Hotel in Century City at 2025 Avenue of the Stars\, Los Angeles\, at 12:45 p.m. \nWe look forward to spending a delightful day exploring art and enjoying good company. RSVP by  September 3rd. \nPlease note that transportation between the two locations is not provided. Carpooling from the club parking lot always an option.  \nThe Weisman Art Foundation kindly requests that all attendees adhere to the following Covid requirements for the Tour: All participants must be fully vaccinated\, including having received the booster shot. If you have not yet received the booster\, you may present proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within 24 hours before the tour. Home tests are acceptable.

Gorgeous walks abound: 3\,000\, 5\,000\, 7.500 and 12\,000 step walks\, nearly all shaded\, featuring wonderful local and architectural history.  The first municipal park in Beverly Hills was donated to the citizens of Beverly Hills in 1915 by BHWC member and Beverly Hills Hotel Proprietor/Operator\, Margaret Anderson or MJ\, as she was known. Come discover this pleasant park\, re-dedicated Will Rogers Park in 1952 (his wife\, Betty Blake another BHWC member)  and get 7.500 steps in also! Mahjong additionally offered at the club on Fridays from 12PM-2PM.
